The Coral Reef Barracudas waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 56-49 win over Southwest. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Coral Reef also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Coral Reef got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathaniel Wesley out in front who scored 17 points. Wesley hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Williams, who scored 15 points.
Coral Reef's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Southwest, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Coral Reef will look to defend their home court on Thursday against JC Bermudez Doral at 7:30 p.m. JC Bermudez Doral knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Coral Reef likes a good challenge. As for Southwest, they will head out on the road to challenge South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (South Dade is ranked 547th, while Southwest is ranked 565th).
