They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 26-25 to the Nazareth Prep Saints. Nazareth Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Evans Jr, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Evans Jr has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Leon Harrison Jr. was another key player, putting up eight points.
Sewickley Academy's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3. As for Nazareth Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
