Softball Recap: Bathgate Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bathgate put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Hamer get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The game marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season so far.

Laylan Campos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Campos was even better at the plate, scoring four runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Bathgate got a massive performance out of Natalis Vargas, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Yanelli Vasquez Paulino, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Bathgate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bathgate's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hamer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Bathgate and Hamer will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Bulldogs see the field they'll take on Wings Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Hamer, their break will end when they face Morrisania at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
