Arcadia barely beat Chincoteague the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Firebirds blew past the Ponies 14-4 on Thursday. Considering the Firebirds have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Arcadia's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Chincoteague, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcadia will face off against Lancaster at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Firebirds are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chincoteague, they will challenge Nandua at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
