It was a good run, but the Bristow Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adair.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Morgan, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Morgan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Yocham, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Bristow's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Adair, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Bristow and Ripley will face off on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ripley's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Bristow's offense will have their work cut out for them. Adair won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oktaha on January 20th. Oktaha will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
