The Cornerstone Christian Patriots's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They breezed by Medina Christian Academy at home to the tune of 91-56. That 91-56 margin sets a new team best for Cornerstone Christian this season.
It was another big night for Quinn Kwasniak, who almost dropped a triple-double on 42 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cornerstone Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Owen Pugh, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Cornerstone Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Medina Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on East Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. East Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Cornerstone Christian likes a good challenge. As for Medina Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
