Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Moody's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Moody won against Jonesboro last Tuesday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Moody's pitchers stepped up to hand De Leon a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Moody, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Moody is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for De Leon, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Moody will have a chance to go back-to-back against De Leon: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
