The Stanton County Trojans will square off against the Sublette Larks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stanton County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2 runs per game this season.
Stanton County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Lakin on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Broncs by a score of 12-11. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.
Kaydence McCleary was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out 11 batters over 7.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. Having lost for the first time this season, Stanton County fell to 3-1. As for Sublette, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.
