The Bard Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Dunbar on the road and fell 59-32. Bard was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dunbar apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Andre Wright and Kaemon McNeil certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Wright scored 12 points along with five rebounds, while McNeil scored six points along with two steals and two blocks. McNeil has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played.
Bard struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-7) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Leading Dunbar to victory were Gregory Lomax and Jordan Russell. Lomax scored ten points, while Russell scored 13 points.
Bard's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Dunbar, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Bard will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Idea at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Averaging 65.24 points so far this season, Idea's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Bard better be ready for a challenge. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
