Volleyball Recap: Pius XI Catholic Gets the Win

Pius XI Catholic won the last time they faced West Allis Hale and things went their way on Friday too. The Popes came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Popes.

Rebecca Contreras paced Pius XI Catholic's offense, picking up seven kills. Contreras got some help from Lilly Walsh and her eight assists. Mya Gencuski controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayla Foster, who had 11 kills and three digs.

Pius XI Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Allis Hale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Pius XI Catholic and West Allis Hale will both be playing Cudahy the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Packers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Popes will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
