The Grace Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to South Charlotte T 49-45.
South Charlotte T's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryleigh Graves, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Graves has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Reeves, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Grace Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for South Charlotte T, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will take on Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. South Charlotte T won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Greater Cabarrus S at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th.
