Doug McLaren put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Friday. He struck out five batters over four innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

McLaren's effort led Chapel Hill over Northern Durham and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
