It was a good run, but Kansas School for the Deaf unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 40-32 to the Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 282nd in Kansas, while the Galloping Ghosts are ranked 26th in Massachusetts).

Xavier DeLeon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marie Philip, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which DeLeon has scored at least a third of Marie Philip's points. Alexander Forfa was another key player, putting up four points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Kansas School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Marie Philip, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
