The Wilby Wildcats just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Watertown Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Wilby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,183 points over their last 15 contests.
Even though Harding scored an imposing 70 points on Monday, Wilby still came out on top. Wilby walked away with an 82-70 win over the Presidents.
Meanwhile, Watertown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 71-50 walloping at the hands of Seymour. Watertown was down 56-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Wilby is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Watertown, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Wilby against the Indians in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 95-61 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilby since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
