East Carteret is 8-2 against Southside since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The East Carteret Mariners will head out to square off against the Southside Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. East Carteret has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while Southside will come in with four straight wins.

East Carteret better keep an eye on Josh Armstrong. He was instrumental in Southside's win, going 9-for-15 to rack up 22 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Armstrong is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Satchell, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Southside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 19 consecutive contests.

East Carteret's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Southside, their record now sits at 8-14.

East Carteret came up short against Southside in their previous matchup last Friday, falling 65-53. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Armstrong, who went 10-for-16 en route to 20 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.
