Meanwhile, Berlin couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Glastonbury by a score of 45-42. Berlin has struggled against Glastonbury recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Hartford Public bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Berlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hartford Public lost to Berlin at home by a decisive 75-56 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2019.
