The Dobson Mustangs can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Mountain View 58-23 on the road. Given Dobson's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Mountain View is ranked 106th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dobson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ahdiayh Chee, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaziah Billey, who scored nine points along with six assists and five steals.
Mountain View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Axelle Robinson, who scored four points.
The win makes it two in a row for Dobson and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Mountain View, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dobson and Skyline will face off at 2:00 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Skyline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mesa at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Mesa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
