If the Kennedy Eagles were feeling good off their 61-28 takedown of the Richmond Oilers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kennedy was dealt a 47-19 loss at the hands of Bethel on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kennedy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Darion Adams, who scored eight points.
Kennedy has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Bethel, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Hercules at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rodriguez at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. One thing working in Rodriguez's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
