The River Mill Jaguars lost against the Woods Charter Wolves back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. River Mill took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woods Charter.
Despite the loss, River Mill still got an impressive performance from Jackson Osborne, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. David Wood was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
River Mill's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for Woods Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Mill will square off against Triangle Math & Science at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woods Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ascend Leadership at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th. Ascend Leadership is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
