Football Recap: Park Vista Piles Up the Points Against Boca Raton

It's playoff time, and Park Vista had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 32-0 victory over the Boca Raton Bobcats. Considering the Cobras have won seven games by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordana Weil was her usual excellent self, throwing for 260 yards and four TDs. Her passing game has become a key predictor of Park Vista's success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-4 otherwise. Zahra Fazal was Weil's top target, picking up 137 receiving yards and one score.

Park Vista is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Boca Raton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Park Vista will challenge Spanish River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sharks' defense has only allowed seven points per game this season, so the Cobras' offense will have their work cut out for them. Boca Raton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
