The Westerville North Warriors will head out to challenge the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westerville North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Westerville North lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Dublin Scioto, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Warriors put the hurt on the Irish with a sharp 8-1 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted against the Irish since May 9, 2022.

Trent Geiger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ethan Robinson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Thomas Mercurio also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Worthington Kilbourne posted their closest victory since March 26, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past Westerville South 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.
Worthington Kilbourne also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Dante Pallante gave up just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ben Davis, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Grant Todd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Westerville North's record is now 10-7. As for Worthington Kilbourne, their record now sits at 11-6.
Worthington Kilbourne's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Westerville North has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Worthington Kilbourne, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Westerville North keep running through batters, or will the Wolves buck the trend?
