They put the hurt on West Melbourne Christian Academy with a sharp 71-48 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Morningside Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Morningside Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Bell led the charge by scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. The match was Bell's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Damon Folds was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 assists.
Morningside Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for West Melbourne Christian Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 9-4 record last season and are now at 1-3.

West Melbourne Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Landmark Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
