Garey needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Esteban Ruvalcaba. The Vikings enjoyed a cozy 66-48 victory over the Ganesha Giants on Wednesday thanks in part to Ruvalcaba, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 24 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game.

Anferny Yom was another key player, putting up 15 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Garey's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Ganesha, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garey won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Eastside Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ganesha, they will venture away from home to face off against Baldwin Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
