The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Whitney Point Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bainbridge-Guilford gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Spencer-Van Etten/Candor by a score of 25-18. The victory was just what Bainbridge-Guilford needed coming off of a 56-0 loss in their prior contest.
Bainbridge-Guilford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Davy out in front who threw for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Damon Seymour and his 89 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Bainbridge-Guilford's win.
Meanwhile, Whitney Point's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over South Seneca. The victory was just what Whitney Point needed coming off of a 69-16 defeat in their prior contest.
Bainbridge-Guilford's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Whitney Point, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.
Bainbridge-Guilford didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Whitney Point in their previous matchup back in September of 2017, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
