After having lost a blowout to Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy in their previous game, Commonwealth was happy to find some success on Friday. Commonwealth steamrollered Victory Christian Center 56-14. The success represented a nice turnaround for Commonwealth, who in their last game suffered a tough 12-46 loss.
The win got Commonwealth back to even at 1-1. The defeat started Victory Christian Center out at 0-1 for the season.
Next week, Commonwealth take on Northside Christian Academy at Northside Christian Academy Stadium at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. As for Victory Christian Center, they will face of against Mountain Island Charter.
