Baseball Recap: Florida State University High School Comes Up Short

Florida State University High School lost against Wakulla back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Seminoles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the War Eagles. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaden White was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

At the plate, Florida State University High School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Chason, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Florida State University High School's record is now 5-17. As for Wakulla, their record now sits at 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florida State University High School will venture away from home to take on Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wakulla, they will head out to face off against Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bucks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the War Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
