After soaring to 37 points the game before, The Everman Bulldogs were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Midlothian Heritage on the road and fell 35-7. While losing is never fun, Everman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Midlothian Heritage is ranked 33rd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stetson Sarratt, who picked up 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sarratt's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards. Midlothian Heritage also got a significant boost from Clyde Wilson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Everman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Midlothian Heritage, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Everman will head out on the road to face off against South Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in South Oak Cliff's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Wilson at 7:00 p.m.
