The home team had won the previous six meetings between Eldon and Fulton, and Eldon kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-17.

Audrey Dinwiddie paced Eldon's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dinwiddie got some help from Emma Opie and her 15 assists. Corin Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Eldon now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fulton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eldon will venture away from home to challenge Eugene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fulton, they will head out to face off against North Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
