Champaign Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Maroons will look to defend their home court against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Centennial took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Champaign Central, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Champaign Central turned things around against Mattoon on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Greenwave. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Maroons have posted since September 18th.

Meanwhile, Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverton.

Centennial may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 11 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11.

Champaign Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-21. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Champaign Central beat Centennial 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Maroons repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
