If the Southview Christian Conquerors were feeling good off their 84-40 takedown of the Oak Level Baptist Academy Conquerors last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Southview Christian was dealt a 89-42 defeat at the hands of New Manna Christian on Monday. It was the first time this season that Southview Christian let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Southview Christian still got an impressive performance from Dakota Farthing, who scored 23 points. Farthing scored a full 54.8% of Southview Christian's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Andreas, who scored 11 points.
New Manna Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Micah Wagner out in front who scored 22 points. The game was Wagner's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tommy Honeycutt was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Southview Christian bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37 points. As for New Manna Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southview Christian will take on White Plains Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Manna Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against N.C. School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m.
