The Juniata Indians will face off against the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Juniata is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since May 12, 2025 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Line Mountain, sneaking past 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.
Daylyn Kennedy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases. He has become a key player for Juniata: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area got the win against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-5. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the WolfPack: they've now won seven in a row.
Ayden Winstead looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Landen Osenga and Karson Engle did most of the damage at the plate: Osenga got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI, while Engle went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Engle is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Mauser, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Upper Dauphin Area's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Juniata, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Juniata has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Upper Dauphin Area struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Juniata couldn't quite get it done against Upper Dauphin Area when the teams last played on April 7th as they fell 9-4. Will the Indians have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
