On Thursday, things could have been worse for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-46 loss to Paradise Honors.
When it comes to explaining why Pusch Ridge Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Hoke. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. The matchup was Hoke's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Juan Castano, who scored eight points.
It was another big night for Tj Harris, who scored 32 points along with five rebounds for Paradise Honors. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least 25% of Paradise Honors' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillan Mcclinton, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Paradise Honors, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sierra Vista at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th. Sierra Vista presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pusch Ridge Christian Academy in their respective states (Sierra Vista is ranked 30th in Nevada, while Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is ranked 93rd in Arizona). Paradise Honors and Cienega will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cienega is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
