Softball Recap: Harrisburg Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Harrisburg put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Marked Tree Indians a 10-0 shutout. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine runs or more this season.

Camilla Spiegel was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brilee Thomas, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Harrisburg is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. Marked Tree now has a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisburg will square off against Hoxie at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoxie has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.91 runs per game on average), something Harrisburg will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Marked Tree, they will challenge Maynard at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
