The Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 25-24 victory over Miami-Yoder. The victory was just what Cripple Creek-Victor needed coming off of a 58-32 defeat in their prior match.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Rylee May and
Allyson Durham, who each put up eight points.
Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Natalie Tinoco, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and six steals. Tinoco has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylie McKnight, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Cripple Creek-Victor's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Miami-Yoder, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
