The Uxbridge Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 65-38 loss at the hands of Millbury. Uxbridge has struggled against Millbury recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Kellen Lachapelle and James Sanford certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Lachapelle scored ten points, while Sanford scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Spencer, who scored four points.
Millbury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Phillipo, who scored 18 points. Kenny Donnelly was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Uxbridge bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Millbury, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uxbridge will take on Sutton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Millbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Northbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
