Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Central Catholic Eagles, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Kittens on Friday, falling 35-0. Central Catholic's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Benjamin Case threw for 48 yards on eight of 24 attempts. Landon Ramagos was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.
Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Southern Lab, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southern Lab will be playing at home against Ouachita Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ouachita Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
