The Alcester-Hudson Cubs will head out on the road to take on the St. Mary Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Alcester-Hudson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
Alcester-Hudson posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Scotland 52-19 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Alcester-Hudson.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alcester-Hudson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Gray, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Emma Solberg was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, St. Mary entered their tilt with Deubrook with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. Mary took down Deubrook 54-38 on Tuesday.
Alcester-Hudson's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for St. Mary, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Alcester-Hudson came up short against St. Mary when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 52-48. Can Alcester-Hudson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
