SAN JOSE, Calif. -
Lynbrook (San Jose, Calif.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Kyle Williams ran for a touchdown with 6:00 remaining, bringing the team to victory over
Harker (San Jose, Calif.) 49-35.
The Eagles pulled ahead on a touchdown pass by
Spenser Quash, and subsequently went into halftime leading 20-14. The Vikings scored the winning points with a Williams touchdown run that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Lynbrook still trailed by 1 point going into the fourth quarter. But 21 points in the fourth helped LHS pull out the victory.
Williams stood out for the Vikings in the win. The senior ran for four touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
Harker's Quash played well. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
A 28-7 Lynbrook victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
This is the third loss in a row for Harker, which fell to Fremont 90-56 last week.
LHS (3-6) will play a El Camino game against Los Altos next week. The Eagles enter the tilt sporting a 0-7 record for the season.
