The Wheaton North Falcons suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Wednesday. They suffered a rough 59-37 defeat at the hands of Batavia. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wheaton North in their matchups with Batavia: they've now lost four in a row.
Brooke Carlson was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Batavia. Carlson hasn't dropped below 15 points for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Addison Prewitt, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Wheaton North's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10. As for Batavia, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheaton North will take on Wheaton-Warrenville South at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Batavia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Geneva at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Geneva is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
