While Amity Regional's win against Shelton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Gaels 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Amity Regional's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Shelton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Amity Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shelton, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gaels are facing the Hilltoppers at the right time seeing as the Hilltoppers are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
