Volleyball Recap: MacArthur Gets the Win

MacArthur proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Heights Bulldogs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Generals have posted since September 13, 2024.

Heights' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaliyah Lytle, who had nine digs and two assists, and Emmerson Weiss, who had 25 assists. Weiss is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Syphard also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

MacArthur didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Texas City on the 21st. As for Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Spring Woods on the 21st.
