Collinsville dropped down to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 49-28 to the Muenster Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 54-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

As for Muenster, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Muenster had a senior duo take command as Casen Carney rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown and Nolan Peel gained 140 total yards and two touchdowns.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Collinsville is set to face off against their familiar foe Santo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Muenster will square off against rival Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
