North Central Kansas recap September 24, 2013
Clay Center's Kody Gregory recorded the longest rushing play in North Central Kansas this season in his game against Abilene last week. Gregory ran for 58 yards on the play and finished with 58 on the day as his team fell to the Cowboys.
Chapman was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Fighting Irish defeated Marysville 25-0.
Gregory and Baylee Easterberg gave Clay Center a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Gregory threw for 23 yards, while Easterberg ran for 72 yards.

Gilberth Garcia was the best receiver in the league this week as Concordia lost to Wamego.
Gregory put up the best numbers in passing as the Tigers lost to Abilene. Gregory's favorite target this week was Ricky Huse, who caught 2 passes for 18 yards.
Alec MacLean made the biggest impact on defense this week as Clay Center fell to Jeff Geist's team. The 6-foot-1 defensive back pulled down 2 interceptions.
Easterberg was the most successful running back in North Central Kansas this week.
Clay Center's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gregory has thrown for 105 yards this season, while Huse has 3 catches for 57 yards. Gregory also leads the league in rushing with 203 yards.
The Red Raiders are in first place, while Chapman is in third place.
The Cowboys made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,309 from 7,860. The improvement was the result of 34-20 victory over the Tigers last week.
