The LAMP Golden Tigers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Victory Christian 73-47.
Despite the loss, Victory Christian still got an impressive performance from Peyton Scott, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Scott's 18th in a row with at least ten points. William Wilson-Hueter was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
The victory got LAMP back to even at 7-7. As for Victory Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LAMP's road trip will continue as they head out to face Booker T. Washington Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Victory Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alabama School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
