They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Bend Career Academy 85-51 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South Bend Clay also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Tyrese Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 36 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelin Webster, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
When it comes to explaining why South Bend Career Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quincy Bradshaw. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Mykel Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The victory got South Bend Clay back to even at 9-9. As for South Bend Career Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
South Bend Clay will head out on the road to face off against Concord at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. South Bend Clay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Concord is ranked 46th). As for South Bend Career Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeland Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South Bend Career Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday.
