While Western Beaver put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Winchester Thurston. The Golden Beavers were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Winchester Thurston. The Golden Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Christian Stefankis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Sawyer Chaffee was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. August Lichtner also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Western Beaver pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Winchester Thurston, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Western Beaver will take on Ellwood City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverine will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Golden Beavers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Winchester Thurston, they will head out on the road to face off against Union Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Scotties will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Winchester Thurston surely won't give up without a fight.
