The Centennial Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Middleton, falling 64-18. Centennial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.
Middleton was led to victory by Robynn Flowers and Zoey Blackwell. Flowers scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Blackwell scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Flowers has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elsie Wyatt, who scored six points along with four steals and two blocks.
Centennial has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Middleton, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.
Centennial will head out on the road to challenge Capital at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Capital is ranked 73rd, while Centennial is ranked 56th). As for Middleton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Eagle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 two weeks ago.
