The Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters had to hit the road for their first game and  sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a  54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chester on Friday.
 Abraham Lincoln's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Samair  Peterson, who  scored 13 points.  Mason Smith was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points.
 Abraham Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chester, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Abraham Lincoln will take on Roman Catholic at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Chester, they will be playing at home against Math Civics & Sciences at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Math Civics & Sciences focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
