The Fremont Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. The match between them and Oakland wasn't particularly close, with Fremont falling 61-47. While losing is never fun, Fremont can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while Oakland is ranked 104th).
Isaac Johnson had a dynamite game for Oakland, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Lacy, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds.
Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Oakland, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.
Fremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 100-15 win vs. Castlemont on the 9th.
