Baseball Recap: Newton Wins Going Away Against North Warren Regional

Newton got their first taste of in-conference action on Wednesday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against the North Warren Regional Patriots as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

The win got Newton back to even at 6-6. As for North Warren Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton will head out to challenge Kittatinny Regional at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Warren Regional, they will face off against Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
